Here’s Jeremiah Doodle-Dumpling with a few tips on:

Why Responding Is the Game-Changer for Your Mental Health…

Picture this: You’re scrolling through social media, minding your own business (sort of), when suddenly you see a post that pushes your buttons…hard. Your face heats up, your fingers fly across the keyboard, and in seconds, you’ve typed something… not-so-nice. One moment of digital rage and poof… welcome to the ‘React and Regret’ rollercoaster.

Hi, my name is Jeremiah Doodle-Dumpling, and I am the ‘Story-Keeper’ here at ‘Once Upon A Time’. I’m responsible for archiving everything that happens at Faery Wood (Both ‘what worked’ AND ‘what didn’t’). I’ve witnessed both the highs and lows for generations of Coddle-Poppers, and nobody understands the consequences of poor choices better than me.

Reacting v Responding

Reacting and responding represent two distinct approaches to situations, and understanding the difference between them can significantly alter the outcome. When we react, it is often in an instinctive manner, influenced by our immediate emotions, which can sometimes lead to impulsive actions.

On the other hand, responding involves more thoughtful consideration before taking action, taking into account not only our own emotions but also the perspectives of others.

The ability to consciously choose between reacting and responding can enhance the quality of our interactions, promote more effective communication, and contribute to more balanced and fulfilling relationships. Recognizing this distinction and developing the capacity to respond thoughtfully can positively influence our relationships and foster personal growth.

Here’s a secret: knee-jerk reactions might give us a short burst of adrenaline, but more often than not, we’re left with a second helping of remorse. That’s where responding comes in. Think of responding as our brain’s wise, level-headed personal assistant. It’s like hitting the pause button on our impulse to fire off a snarky retort and, instead, taking a deep breath to consider our words and their impact.

Why does this make such a big difference?

Well, for starters, responding helps us avoid the regret phase. When we react impulsively, we’re letting our emotions take the wheel. This often leads to misunderstandings, arguments, or extra drama that we really don’t need in our life.

But when we respond, we’re calming the chaos. We gain control over our thoughts, words, and actions, which means less chance of hurt feelings (and a lot fewer embarrassing apologies).

So the next time someone cuts you off in traffic, or your coworker says something that grinds your gears, try this: pause, breathe, reflect… then respond. Trust me, your future self (and everyone around you) will thank you. And hey, your mental health will get a nice little boost, too, no regrets required!

A Parting Gift: When we pause to respond instead of rushing to react, we invite wisdom into the moment and protect our peace.

MORE ABOUT JEREMIAH DOODLE-DUMPLING (EDITOR’S NOTES)

We are each a ‘Spirit’ (part of Source) having a ‘Human’ experience. Our life on Earth is an encyclopedia of experiences laid out FOR us (by prior agreement), in order for us to LEARN and GROW.

Through ‘Natural Law’,  no Coddle-Popper, Spirit Guide, Faery, nor Angel are allowed to intervene on our behalf unless specifically asked or invited by us, for fear of karmic intervention.

To work around this, Jeremiah Doodle-Dumpling is able to ‘suggest’ ideas through the power of meditative suggestion (as if it were our own thinking). If you get the opportunity, please check out his ‘Points to Ponder’ blog posts, as they are profound suggestions in order for us to meditate what is actually meant.

Allow the suggestions to digest and percolate. It is intended as to tool to enhance our discernment skills. You’re welcome.

Even though Coddle-Poppers and Fairies give their services for free and with love, all of our wishes, intentions and healing are released to the ‘Higher Power’ for the greater good.
